Been A Long Time Since Some Rock n Roll
Rock n Roll it was, alright. A rollercoaster of emotions, work-life, other lives, netherlives and what not. Culminated happily today in my joining and working out 500 cals in the gym for an hour. A pittance, compared to my original overdoses but a good start nevertheless. The first five minutes told me that I was terribly outta shape. The next 55 were spent in dogged determination to last out till the trainer told me to stop and go home.
I promised to return on Monday morning. Nice chap, he. I fear that he's gonna make me slog my ass like an ass very soon.
What else? I am trying to get my hands on Alan Greenspan's 'The Age Of Turbulence'. Please let me know how it was if you've managed to read it. I've already read my fair share of positive & negative reviews online. I am looking for some 'user opinions' here. Hoi polloi and all that.
Work's been hectic as usual. Though it's a lot more flexible and gives me more 'personal time' than my previous job. This one's very different from the old one in a 'cultural' way. For one, the average age is a lot higher. My interactions are mostly within the organization as compared to the previous one in which I used to have at least 75% of my interactions with people external to the organization. That's a definite change. Me being me, I do try and end up inserting myself into external engagements all the same :)
Parents were away for three weeks in Mumbai. Spent the time in bouts of movie marathons (thanks to DVD rentals), escaping collapsing flyovers, spending long hours in meditating and mumbling to myself and a coupla days recovering from a case of flu.
That's pretty much it, for now.
Meine dee, the comment has appeared and the new post is here.. just as I promised :)
But couronne's still not up :(
