Few Updates
We have cyclonic winds in Hyderabad and it's actually getting COLD. Yes, you read THAT right!
Am going to Mumbai tomorrow, will spend Friday @ Mumbai and planning on driving down to Hyderabad on Saturday with Arya. Should be a nice 730 Km drive. Parents are quite apprehensive about the whole thing but I think it should be fine. We might just do a stopover somewhere on the way (depending on weather conditions and progress) so we might get here on Sunday. Let's see how that goes.
Will start driving to work from Monday.
I found a rental acco. here in Hyderabad. Staying at Rain Tree Park. It's a nice place and just about 5 km from work. Shouldn't take more than 10 mins one way. Compare that to the 28 km/1.5 hour drive I used to do in Mumbai, hah!
Also met moimystique one past weekend. It was nice to have dinner with her and had the most amazing conversation with her and her mom. Amazingly well-informed, knowledgeable and intelligent lady. Looking forward to some more discussions with her soon. Managed to strum a few bars on the guitar while 'mm' tinkered around on the keyboard; will be better prepared next time ;)
Apart from that, I am still getting to know the city. Checked out this lovely restaurant called Serengeti over the weekend. The 'Lahori Chicken Tikka Lal' totally rocks! Not recommended for those who don't like it too spicy though.
Discovering more foodie joints. The much acclaimed Hyderabadi Biryani was a letdown. I still prefer the multi-layered, 'rich' biryani you get at Bade Miya Chhote Miya in Mumbai.... or better still, the chain of ComeSum restaurants at Pune & Delhi railway stations.
That's the story, blah-blah glory.
