Thought Train or Talking Movies

Very rarely do I get to give my brain some rest, today is not one of those days. Especially with this splitting headache that I have, the last thing I really want to do is go off on a thought train. Yet, that's exactly what I have been doing in the past few hours.

It all started with listening to the Piano duet from the OST of 'The Road To Perdition'. Reminded me of a few poignant scenes from the movie with Paul Newman and Tom Hanks. It also reminded me of Jude Law and this fan of his who don't talk to me no more.

Next on Winamp was Van Morrison's I'll Be Your Lover Too. Dunno if you particularly recall this song... it appears during the credits for the movie 'Proof Of Life'. That set me off on Russel Crowe and the movie I was watching in between channel surfing.. the movie Gladiator. I was reminded of Connie Nielsen's reprisal of an upright military officer in 'Basic', a role which she played opposite John Travolta.

However Russell Crowe's John Nash in 'A Beautiful Mind' was stronger and my mind started thinking of my current favourite - Game Theory. And of the book that I am reading right now. James Miller's 'Game Theory At Work'. That brought me to the books lying unread.. Michael Porter's 'Competitive Strategy' & 'Competitive Advantage', Kotler's 'Marketing of Nations'. My mind now turned to my MBA...

Happily, my niece derailed my thoughtrain at this precise moment when she decided that I should tie pigtails for her.

(She looks damn cute in those).

A coupla phonecalls happened and my evening suddenly seems to have a new meaning now.

Am off... to get Evelynne back from where I left her on New Years.
